On a basic salary of £27k, as a Graduate Conference Producer you would research the potential for new conferences and define the agenda, the intellectual content of events and recruit the speakers. You'd also earn excellent profit share. It is absolutely achievable that your first year earnings would exceed £40k. The role is not about events logistics; organising catering or staging etc. You would be the person defining the topic and framing the content, picking and recruiting the speakers not taste-testing the canapés.
 
The requirements for a Graduate Conference Producer are primarily a commercial mindset; any good degree (or equivalent achievement); research ability to unearth potential conference topics, persuasive skills to recruit high-level speakers and ideally experience an entrepreneur, even a junior one, so we know you’re business minded and imaginative.
