“..…we’ll help you grow”
Reilly People is a firm of Permanent, Interim and Temporary recruiters servicing the media, advertising, conferencing and data-analysis sectors from London Bridge in Central London. Established in 1993, we recruit at all levels from senior board appointments through all mid-level positions to graduate career-starters.
Our service is intended to provide Clients with the essential human capital they need to grow their businesses, and to do it by using a minimum of their time and charging a fee only when a hire is made.
Our current Clients
Our clients are global, national and local media-owners (broadcast, print, outdoor, cinema and on-line); media buying and advertising agencies; client-side marketing departments; market research and data analysis companies, as well as conference and exhibition organisers.
Roles
We recruit for all sales positions including sponsorship and promotions; all the functions in the media planning and buying process; quantitative analysis/research; conference producing; editorial; design; and print and advertising production. We also supply administrative and support people for positions related to these functions.
Regions
We operate both nationally and internationally and have significant experience in filling roles outside the UK.
Candidate Supply
What our clients principally want from us is, of course, a strong supply of candidates. To meet their needs we spend a significant budget advertising over fifty-two weeks of the year and all our recruiters are encouraged to actively source additional people through regular head-hunting. Through our network of contacts we can scout the best up-coming talent and we’re constantly approaching new people. Word of mouth and recommendation keeps candidates approaching us and so topping up the pot. In nearly fourteen years of serving our market we have built up a significant register with detailed skill lists. We keep in touch with these candidates through professionally-designed emailed newsletters and telephone contact to keep our information fresh.
Systems
Through our specialist, recruitment-industry software, we can search for suitable candidates by ninety-two individual skills dedicated to your industry. This means we can identify and usually put suitable people forward for interview very fast.
Appraisal & Candidate Preparation
Our clients know the value of time so they not only want to see candidates quickly but expect them to be able, motivated and prepared for interview. Our recruiters are trained to accurately appraise ability – we want to see evidence of a candidate’s achievement rather than just a list of responsibilities and for some specialist tasks we test candidates for specific skills including numeracy and literacy, and specialist abilities such as, for example: sub-editing.
Evidence of motivation is key also. Our clients don’t want frivolous or tactical applications so we only put a candidate forward if he or she has shown by their performance in their communication with us and their willingness to prepare for an interview that they are genuinely motivated by the opportunity.
All our candidates are expected to thoroughly prepare for any meeting with one of our clients and given an interview structure to help them communicate clearly and be active, rather than passive in the meeting. We prefer the term ‘meeting’ rather than ‘interview’ as we want to encourage a less re-active approach by candidates and allow the client to see them ‘come-forward’ and demonstrate their skills and motivation for the company and the role. This gives the client a better opportunity to accurately appraise the candidate and avoid costly mistakes.
Contingency charging and free replacement guarantee
All Reilly candidates are backed up by a free replacement guarantee should a Candidate leave their employment in the first two months. Conditions apply so please ask for more details. Also, most engagements are undertaken on a contingency no-hire, no fee basis so costs can be directly related to successful hires only, unlike in recruitment advertising, where charges are up-front and unrelated to result.
