We monitor markets, identify the most critical trends, and provide timely conferences to help you assess and target new business opportunities in India. The Role: This role is ideal for a Senior Marketing Executive with some team management experience looking for the next challenge, international experience, a step up in their career - and the opportunity to experience the living and working culture of India. As Head of Marketing, you will have complete bottom-line responsibility for delegate revenues and numbers and management of both the telemarketing and the marketing teams. This role will also give you the opportunity to gain exposure to the hugely important Asian market - a major growth area in the B2B conference sector, amongst many others. Role responsibilities include: To develop, plan and achieve marketing strategy to deliver business objective To ensure products can be viably marketed in advance of production, and to input to topic development - To ensure portfolio of events are marketed effectively and the teams are following best practice
- To drive and oversee new initiatives within the marketing function
- To drive conference delegate attendance and revenue growth
- To oversee creation, execution and fulfilment of innovative, data driven marketing campaigns
- To manage and control campaign marketing budgets
- To strategically develop internal and external brand relationships
- To manage and train junior marketing executives in conference best practice
- To develop and manage the telesales delegate sales team
Candidate Background & Experience ü 3-4 years direct marketing experience in a commercial conference environment. Other marketing experience would be considered, but there would need to be a strong demonstration of understanding to the specifics of conference marketing ü Must have held a senior marketing executive role or similar with experience of managing a marketing team Experience of marketing international events Marketing degree and or suitable industry qualifications Proven track record and ability to deliver online campaigns Extensive experience with databases and driving data build initiative Proven ability to understand new markets, identify commercial opportunities and work with conference production teams Ability to create, steer and manage large and small scale marketing campaigns Ability to analyse and interpret marketing performance in line with industry KPIs Industry knowledge preferable but not essential Ability to multi task and management multiple projects at any given time Experience of working with a telesales team Ability to work under pressure within short time constraints and hit deadlines Experience of Financial/budget management Ability to excel in a complex, fast paced work environment Strong written and oral communications skills and Copywriting/editing skills Expat Package - Marketing Director, India, Mumbai.
