Description

A global media business, a world leader, is looking for a Head of New Business to manage a team of twenty new Business specialists. This is a new position following a re-structure and it will play a leading part in driving business growth for a company working with more than half the Fortune 500; more than twenty thousand companies and 3 million brands in 50 countries.

A key function will be to collaborate with Product and Operations specialists to design client-attractive packages although you'll need to be strong and team-leading on implementation as well as strategy.

Reporting to the MD - Commercial, the Head of New Business role purpose is:

  • Design and deliver strategic growth vision for the New Business team
  • Implement New Business growth plans
  • Be responsible for new prospect revenue and hitting annual targets as part of a collaborative team
  • Building prospect relationships and understanding customer trends, whilst continuously seeking to improve
  • Feedback to the business on client needs and product innovation
  • Collaborate across the Senior Leadership Team to identify best practice for growth

Head of New Business - Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead generation
  • Own and hit/exceed New Business sales targets and expand client base
  • Provide inspiring leadership to ensure that the teams exceed revenue targets
  • Ensure the team understand the most up to date value proposition
  • Take the lead in key client pitches
  • Recognise & develop talent; build loyalty across the team to ensure retention of key performers

Candidate Profile / Knowledge and skills required:

  • Minimum 10 years management experience
  • Proven expertise of selling to global key accounts
  • Passionate about transformation of digital technology
  • Strong planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Strong leader / role model
  • Networking and public speaking experience - e.g. conference speaker
