- A high-growth media tech company is looking to take on an experienced and strategic sales leader as a Sales Director on a six-figure salary with significant commission potential and equity that could lead to “life changing money.”
This is a highly innovative business which has developed a multi award-winning global, video audience-measurement tool.
Reporting directly to the MD, the role is leading the commercial growth and expansion of our multi award-winning, global video audience-measurement system. It will involve regular overseas travel to attend conferences, network events and meetings and provide the opportunity to shape and drive an international sales operation.
Sales Director - key responsibilities
- Lead the global sales operation of the business
- Develop sales plans designed to achieve sales targets
- Ensure consistent generation of pipeline opportunities and that contact targets are met
- Move prospects through the sales pipeline and secure new business
- Manage international sales agents and coordinate efforts
- Report to the business leadership and board on the success of sales performance and consult on strategy and approach
- Coordinate with multiple teams across the business to ensure a collective approach to driving commercial success
Sales Director - salary, commission and benefits
- Negotiable c£100k Base Salary + bonus, expenses and benefits. Equity potential.
- Commission structure allowing opportunity to double base salary.
Sales Director - essential skills and qualities
- Excellent track record of at least 5 years in a senior sales/business development role
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- An aptitude and willingness to develop commercial strategy
- Self-motivated and tenacious
- Capable and confident to demonstrate software tools in meetings (training provided)
- Happy to travel internationally
Desirable but not essential
- Speak several languages: Spanish, Italian, German, or French
- Previous experience selling subscriptions to a syndicated software service
- Knowledge of the TV measurement and ratings industries
- A broad network of media research connections
