Description
A City-based world leader in media investment analysis is looking for a qualified or part-qualGroup Management Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) on a twelve months Maternity Cover contract. The role is with the Contract Compliance division, which audits $40bn of contract value annually from 18 offices across 16 countries.   
 
Group Management Accountant – Function:
  •  
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller to prepare of the Group’s consolidated monthly management accounts and commentary
  • Co-ordinate the Group’s budgeting and forecasting processes as well as other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Prepare and report the Group monthly consolidated management accounts to a strict deadline.
  • includes overseeing the group intercompany reconciliation; posting consolidation journal entries; validating group recharges; balancing balance sheets; hosting monthly/quarterly reviews of market P&Ls; challenging variances to Budget/Forecast and quarterly reviews of balance sheets.
  • Monthly in-depth review of Corporate departmental P&Ls versus Budget/Forecast; ensuring Corporate costs are accounted for appropriately.
  • Working closely with the GFC to run the Budget/Forecast process
  • Working closely with the GFC to develop and roll out SAP Analytics Cloud across the group and maximise its functionality and benefits.
  • Asist Group Finance Manager with preparation of group annual and interim accounts
 
Group Management Accountant – Requirements
  •  
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
  • Experience working in a multi-currency Group function
  •  A big picture mindset – being able to think outside the box to recommend solutions
  • A commercial view on financial data - not being just a provider of data 
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands
  • Self-motivated with good organisational and time management skills;
  • Excellent numerical, Excel and analytical skills;
  • Experience of working with SalesForce/FinancialForce advantageous;
  • Experience of working with BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud advantageous.
